‘Twas Earth Day in Haymarket and our new bird feeder is hung,
My girls giggle and laugh at the birds having fun.

With fresh seeds flying to the left and the right,
We see sneaky squirrels who dare not come out until night.

As the sun begins to set far off to the west,
The girls mother an Eastern Bluebird egg in a make shift nest.

The beauty of the day, the brisk of the eve,
Green leaves on the trees and I sit back and breathe.

Good air, happy family, no reason to be blue,
From my heart to yours, Happy Earth Day to you.
